Kfitton is a graduate of Northern Michigan University with a B.S. in Social Studies/History Education and is currently certified in Michigan and Illinois for teaching social studies. In his off-time, he engages in educational policy and technology. Areas of speciality include: Western Civ, US History, The Third Reich, Imperialism, Social Movements of the 1950-1960s, Integration of Technology in Classrooms, Learning Management Systems, and Educational Theory/Ethics. Kfitton has written articles for online educational websites and is a member of both Phi Alpha Theta and Phi Delta Kappa.
