Technology Studies in Education

Hi, TSE folks. This is a skeletal page for TSE-related issues.

Some administrivia: WikEd is a MediaWiki system maintained by the CTER program in the Department of Educational Psychology. If you're curious, have a look at Special:Allpages to get an idea of the wide range of material that's available here, WikEd:About for some general information on the system, or Special:Statistics to see information about how many people are using the server (we've had 801,661 page views as I type, and we're confident that we'll exceed one million views before the end of the Spring semester). In addition to the TSE page(s), you're encouraged to contribute to any other page, or even create your own pages. This server is open for any legitimate education-related purpose. We do delete pages that purport to "educate" people about Viagra or on-line poker games. :-)

If you haven't used MediaWiki before, the WikEditing Quick Start page should get you started.

Have fun!

    • It would be great to have some kind of "practicum" or "project" course so students could get credit for technology-related projects that last longer than a single class (but are of a smaller scale than an early research or thesis project). Tom Anderson suggested at the CTER meeting today (2/1/2006) that CTER program staff could help with this (providing a meeting space for "adult show and tell", perhaps providing small amounts of server space and/or technical assistance, etc.).
