[edit] Background

The UIUC campus sponsored an Online Program Retreat at Allerton Conference Center in the Fall of 2004. Currently, the retreat planning committee is collecting ideas and finalizing plans for the Fall 2005 edition, and is using this wiki page to organize those planning efforts. Feel free (and obligated!) to contribute.

[edit] Goals

Day 1 of OnlineRetreat2005 will be directed toward faculty and staff who are currently active with UIUC online courses and programs. It will be a time of inspiration, best practices sharing, clarifying UIUC policies concerning online activities and networking.
Day 2 will be dedicated toward the faculty and staff who are in the early stages of interest, or, perhaps, production of course material that can be delivered online. We anticipate best practice sharing, demonstrations of current courses and hands-on activities where faculty can begin the process of preparing instructional materials for online delivery.
