1. Proposal for Survey: Research in online learning reveals the needs for instructors to modify their lessons based on the requests of the students and interactions that occur in an online course. This notion of "Emergent Design" may be extended to curriculum design. Based on a survey for the applicants, current students, faculty members, and alumni, participants of the survey may be able to express what courses they would like to take (or offer) that would help them accomplish their goals and meet their specific needs in their career. If the demand is high, and the faculty are able to provide such courses, an "emergent" course may be developed and offered. Thus, it may be helpful to find out what the students' expectations and demands are while these prospective students are engaged in the application process.
