Ed.D. in Teaching and Learning Timeline

First Year
By the end of the summer of the first year: Completion of Masters of Arts thesis and thesis defense meeting

Second Year
By the end of the second year: Completion of second year paper and oral defense of that paper


Third Year
By the middle of fall quarter: Formation of dissertation committee
By the end of winter quarter: Submission of Human Subjects form
By the beginning of spring quarter: Completion of dissertation proposal (given to committee members at least 2 weeks before oral presentation)
By the end of the second week of spring quarter: Oral presentation of dissertation proposal


Fourth Year
By the beginning of spring qurater: Completion of the dissertation (given to committee members at least one month before dissertation defense)
By Mid-spring quarter: Defense of the dissertation
During the second half of spring quarter: Revision of the dissertation
By end of spring quarter: Depositing of dissertation with OSGR and the library
