The Apple Classrooms of Tomorrow (ACOT) project began in 1985 as a way to study how routine technology use influences teaching and learning. ACOT defines technology "as a tool for learning and a medium for thinking, collaborating, and communicating." The project focused on "constructivism mediated by technology" according to the website.
